The Zoll R Series Plus® Defibrillator incorporates the functions of both an AED and a defibrillator. It powers on as an AED to satisfy the needs of BLS-trained responders, and transforms to a full-featured manual defibrillator for ALS responders. “Simple, smart, and ready.” With innovative, cost-effective resuscitation solutions, the R Series now makes code-readiness available for any hospital department. Defibrillation, cardioversion, and pacing can all be done with just one therapy cable. There is no need for a separate three-lead cable. The OneStep Complete Resuscitation Electrode includes built-in 3 lead. Therefore, if the patient has to be paced right after resuscitation, avoids the need for further steps.

Real CPR Help to coach on proper compression rate and depth during CPR. Also, See-Thru CPR to reduce pauses between compressions. Furthermore, it’s the only monitor/defibrillator that detects the OneStep Pediatric electrode and reduces the energy setting to 50J to prevent an overdose of energy.

Every day, the R Series performs an automatic self-test. Therefore, there is no need for manual testing. Furthermore, during your shift check, make sure the green check mark is there. The unique external pacing technology from ZOLL enables for improved capture at significantly lower thresholds, minimizing muscle artifact and providing greater patient comfort and tolerance.

Additionally, the R Series uses internal memory for event documentation and a detachable compact flash card for data transmission and archiving. The R Series communication feature makes record keeping a snap when used with CodeNet, ZOLL’s PDA-based code data management system.
