Battery for Defibtech Lifeline DDU-100 Series

Replacement Battery for your Defibtech Lifeline AED. The Defibtech Lifeline Battery has a 5-year life, and comes with a 9V lithium battery to power the AED’s self-check system. To maintain your AED operational in the case of a rescue, we recommend purchasing a spare. Also, don’t forget to change the electrodes! Remember to properly dispose of your old battery and install your new one. These batteries contain lithium, so please remember to not throw your old battery into landfill trash. Call us if you would like help deciding how to dispose of your old battery.

The part number for this battery is DCF-200 and is the proper replacement for the one that came pre-installed in your AED when you purchased it. Because these batteries contain lithium, they cannot be shipped Next Day Air or any sort of aircraft travel. Therefore, keep in mind that ground transport is the only way to ship this battery.

Should I purchase a spare battery?

When it comes to deciding if you want or need a spare battery, it all comes down to how often your AED will be used. Batteries for AEDs have shelf lives. This means that even if the battery is not installed, it will still expire. This is important to keep in mind when buying an additional battery. It is often recommended to have a spare or two on hand if there are multiple AEDs in a facility. This is to prevent having to remove an AED from service if the battery is drained. Instead the battery can be replaced with the spare and return to it’s proper location.
