HeartSine Samaritan Adult Pad-Pak

The HeartSine Samaritan Adult Pad-Pak comes with a battery and a pair of adult electrodes. Because the pad-pak just has one expiration date, keeping track of these AED accessories has never been easier. Each adult pad-pak may deliver 60 shocks or provide 6 hours of continuous monitoring. Always have an extra pad-pak on hand in case a cardiac emergency arises.

Why should I purchase a spare set of pads?

After successfully responding to a Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the pads that were used are now discarded. Therefore, your AED is not ready for the next emergency! During the downtime after the initial emergency, another event could happen. Always have a spare set on hand to avoid lapse in AED coverage!
 

Why do I need to replace my Pads?

Even if your pads have never been used, they will still expire. This is because of the gel adhesive that attaches the pads to the patient’s chest will dry out overtime. This affects the shock that the AED gives. Every manufacturer will have different expiration dates. Furthermore, look for the expiration date on your pads. Often times there is a small hourglass symbol to indicate which is the expiration date.
