October is more than the month of haunted hayrides, cider mills, and candy corn. It’s also National Physical Therapy Month—"an annual opportunity to recognize physical therapy's efforts to transform society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience.”

At DiaMedical USA, we fully support the American Physical Therapy Association in their #ChoosePT campaign this fall. But it is so important to #ChoosePT all year round, not just during pumpkin spice season.

Why? The opioid epidemic.

If you’ve been following our blog this year, you already know the scary statistics. Drug overdose deaths—most of them involving opioids—are the leading cause of injury-related deaths. Opioids claim more lives than guns and car accidents. Nearly 1 in 50 deaths are now opioid-related. And on and on and on.

We’re already helping combat the crisis with our Opioid Overdose Training Kits. Offered exclusively by DiaMedical USA, our kits provide all of the equipment needed for realistic training in naloxone administration. We envision a nation in which every First Responder is prepared for this growing national emergency, and view our kits as an indispensable anti-opioid tool.

But we can still do more. That’s why we’re expanding our line of physical therapy products. From staircases to treat lower body injuries, to parallel bars, to the over-the-door Blue Ranger Shoulder Pulley system, DiaMedical USA now offers hundreds of physical therapy items designed to help people strengthen their bodies and reduce pain.
