September is a special time in the healthcare community, as it marks both Neonatal Nurses Week and NICU Awareness Month. These two observances recognize the tireless efforts of neonatal nurses and shine a light on the unique environment of Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU). Together, they remind us of the delicate care needed to nurture the tiniest and most vulnerable members of society—premature babies and critically ill newborns.
