The SimLabSolutions Long Term Care Loaded Medication Cart is the ideal solution for training students how to safely administer medications in assisted living, rehab and skilled nursing facilities.  Assembled by DiaMedical USA’s Nurse Educator, a wide variety of topical, oral and injectable simulated medications are included.
 

Simulated Medications

Medications were specifically chosen that are commonly administered to residents in long term care facilities.  Unit dose, bulk, and liquid medications are included for oral administration. Simulated Tuberculin PPD vials are included in order for students to practice intradermal TB testing.  Students can be required to differentiate between various types of insulin prior to administration.
 

Safety TB, insulin and IM syringes help students and instructors prevent needlestick injuries. The tabletop sharps container facilitates prompt disposal of used needles.
 

The large SimLabSolutions injection trainer is made from advanced materials that offer realistic skin puncture resistance.  The foam core dries easily be used repeatedly so it can be injected with water.  The self-sealing material can withstand 3,000+ injections.  The 3.5″ diameter makes it ideal for group training.

Waterloo Full Sized Steel Medication Cart

The Waterloo medication cart can hold up to 40 bins for individual patient medications.  The plastic top is easily cleaned with a raised rim to contain spills.  A pull-out shelf is included to provide extra space for medication preparation. The cart is manufactured from heavy duty steel to last for many years of use.

The standard and premium packs both contain simulated oral, injectable and topical meds as well as supplies for administration. However, the premium pack includes a wider variety of medications, including a simulated diskus inhaler, bronchodilator nebules, ear drops, and suppositories.
